TitleWLA response to Mayor's OLC

The West London Alliance has responded to the Mayor's Outer London Commission's (OLC) invitation to submit evidence to inform its deliberations.

The WLA has welcomed the establishment of the OLC and the focus on the well-being of Outer London that it brings. In its response the WLA says that it does not think that the proposal for employment and residential "super-hubs" is appropriate for West London. Instead the WLA argues for a growth corridor approach, making good use of the existing radial transport infrastructure to promote the success of town centres and development areas in West London.

But the WLA says there is a need for increased transport investment to transport nodes on these radial routes to improve the accessibility and attractiveness of town centres and development areas to support the growth corridor approach.

The response also calls for the Mayor to provided increased planning policy flexibility for Outer London boroughs to allow them to compete more effectively for investment. The full report can be read here
